use this tool to complete uninstalling java

then reinstall java jre from http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

I really don't know, but it seems you are one of just a few having this issues, question is only: what is the root cause of this issues...

by taking into where it i was working at the time and handed it over to a girl who had just done a java course!

i know she made path changes but cant remmber what she did

used the java removal tool and re-installed it all again...but running the javatester brought up the fault again....i then turned off my zone alarm firewall and it finally showed java to be up and running ?
......zone alarm is set up to allow java so i dont know?

well......

kept zone alarm turned off and ran yamj again..........IT WORKED!!!

not sure what was done other than reinstalling java for the umpteen time on top of the other jamj changes suggested??

zonealarm is configured for java and the yamj items showing up in its 'program control' and always worked with this firewall before??

is there anything else i have to check in zonealarm does anyone know?

I think you should tell zone alarm (and all firewall) to let Y2M/YAMJ/Java to connect to public net.

As you can see from error logs, that somehow, there's some connection problem during connecting to imdb and tmdb while using Y2M (caused by ZoneAlarm).

I suggest to remove Zonealarm and reboot. After that install again. It should do a rescan for applications.

Hi,
I had the same problem. Error getting url ...
This worked for me...
- Uninstall all versions of Java (java 7, java 6, java fx)
- reboot pc
- install java version 6 update 33

And now everything works just fine again.
