Error on "Run YAMJ" action

Those files (moviejukebox.log and moviejukebox.ERROR.log) are stored inside YAMJ folder.
Look at mine in the attachment.

From there, we wish to see the main problem. if still has api problem, YAMJ needs an update to newer release.

I have final solution for you, it might not easy but I will explain step by step for you 

Actually, it's updating your YAMJ to latest build (not Y2M, YAMJ only)
1). Download latest YAMJ build (v2.7 r3142) http://mediaplayersite.com/sites/default/files/YAMJ/yamj-2.7-SNAPSHOT-r3142-bin.zip
2). Extract it anywhere (eg. C:\YAMJ_2.7)
3). Copy 3 folder from previous YAMJ/Y2M (Mediainfo/Skins/Y2M) to this new YAMJ build folder (overwrite it).
4). Delete Y2M registry, then restart your Y2M from this new build (eg.C:\YAMJ_2.7\Y2M)
5). Set new setting, then try to Run YAMJ.

if same problem persist with previous YAMJ build, I have no more solution .. but it worth to try.

when i click on the delete registry after typing yes in the dos window i get an error flash up...too quick to say what it is
....EDIT....at least fixed this
...opening the yam build zip by 'extracting here' with win rar does'nt put it in a folder but scatters different folders...4 or 5 i think
....is this right or do i have to creat a folder to put the zip file in.....then extract here??

....now trying to 'move and replace the   3 folders you mention from the original yamj to the 'new build' one....i've moved the media info folder...and the skins folder......but the last one you mentioned Y2M....ie you posted (mediainfo/skins/Y2M)....cant find or see a Y2M folder in the original yamj feb 2012 download extracted zip to move across to the 'new build folder???

well after all that so far.....moving the 2 out of 3 folders as i could'nt find the third one mentioned

Y2M folder is the folder contain Y2M main program (YAMJ_To_Mede8er_2.0.0.exe).

did you delete Y2M registry before starting a new build?

from error logs, I can see there's something wrong with java (API) and internet connection, did you have an NFO file in movie folder (contain imdb site id) ?

yep did delete registry...after finally getting it to work.....was typing yes and was getting a flash of an error....tried typing Yes...with a capital Y and it seem to work

befor i go further...i've noticed my moviejukebox.sh is'nt called 'sh'...its just called MovieJukebox (says its an sh file under 'type)....and the moviejukebox.bat is just called moviejukebox (again says it's a batch file under type)

i downloaded and reinstalled yamj from various places loads of times now and it's always the same

...tried using 'TOMY' as well but that said that no sh file was detected and no batfile was detected etc

have just done a totally uninstalled delete re start yet again and going to try yet again

...must admit i'm getting close to giving up on it

...tried my other 64bit laptop as i remembered i had yamj on there to......currently got the dreaded java problem on there as well

right now from a complete install of the latest YAMJ and not changing anything as previously discussed i've now got a  'could not create java virtual machine' error....nothing mentioned about object heap?

java path 'QTJAVA' is there and correct

before anything else...is this now fixable from here?

well bit the bullet  and did this.....got the java problem...then went back into the moviejuke files in the 'newly built yamj' and redited the figures to 512 as recommended
...re ran again....got the same fault as before with no movie art

Test your java from http://www.javatester.org/

is there any nfo files on your movie folder (The.Usual.Suspects.(1995) for example) ? if not, just create using notepad, then put this text into it http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114814/ then save it with the same filename as movie file, but save as .nfo (instead of .txt) this will help scraping imdb metadata.

dont give up now, not yet  

by the way, this error is common and nothing to worry about
