Mede8er browsing HDD
«

Hi
I think the Mede8er is awesome and the firmware is brilliant.
Just have a question. When setting up the video wall I see that it sets up per HDD. Is it not possible or the mede8er to search all attached HDD's for media and put it in the video wall.
Thx

The video wall is some sort of shortcut using hard paths.
Compare it with windows: if you make a shortcut to an usb disk on your desktop and you remove the usb disk the shortcut will not work anymore.

The videowall is directly mapped to a specific hard drive file directory structure (see guide). You have to create the necessary directories, and then copy the files to them. The Med is a niche product and dosn't have tools to automate the process.

I have what I think is a similar question, so the answer may well be the same if so sorry for posting.
The question I have is this is it possible to somehow actually see a external hard drive connected to the Mede8er in
Windows 7? I suspect the answer is no, but if it is possible how could I do it?

Every connected HDD/Stick/card can be seen, when the NAS is activated.
