USB Drive/FalshDisk Disconnect
« on: January 30, 2011, 10:52:06 am »
Hi All,

I have the Mede8er MED500X with the latest V4 Software. My PC is running Windows 7.

Every time I have an USB Disk/Flashdisk plugged into the Mede8er and after watching a movie I turn off the Mede8er and then insert the drive or the Flashdisk back into my PC, the PC picks it up and asks me to correct the errors.

Now this normally happens when you don't Safely Remove The USB Disks from the PC and you just pull it out without ejecting it first.

Has this been issue/problem been raised with support, do you also get this, what are they going to do about this??

See standard error I get after using an USB device with Mede8er and than plug it back into my PC.

Regards

Tomas

Mediaplyers don't have a safe removal, or safe insert option for that matter. At least with my Sony bluray player they make that perfectly clear - No hot docking! (My brain hurts- I put an an  "i" in docking the first time! Must still be thinking about True Blood!)

So this is not official Sanji advice, but I don't risk it.
