OK, load V4 final and got a problem pretty much immediately...
Seems to be a problem with the videowall. Got about 100 movies on my wall. Scrolled (>) across to very last movie on the wall, which just happened to be the only movie on the last page. Combo of left/right scroll keys seemed to cause Mede8er to hang, no response to any remote commands. After about 15 seconds Mede8er bombed out to the initial startup screen where it shows Media Library.
p.s. I can recreate this and will post exact steps asap

Hi Domino,
A few questions: - what version did you load? The non HD or the INC HD version? - did you try to unplug power after install to have a fresh boot? Were you able to reproduce this after the fresh boot? - did you use config restore after you installed the firmware?
regards, Maasbommel

As promised, here's how to make the videowall bomb out in V4 final:-
- go into videowall - with all your covers displayed, use > right arrow to go to very last movie in the wall (this could take some time if you have lots of movies, I have about 100) - then > right arrow again and videowall will take you to the 1st page of the videowall i.e. movies starting with numbers or A - then < left arrow to move back to the very last movie on the wall (last page of wall) - you will notice the movie is not highlighted and also left/right navigation no longer works, in fact nothing works at this point - mede8er appears to hang and after some time it returns you to default startup screen with Media Library
Now the last page on my videowall only contains 1 movie, I'm not sure if this is relevant.

Hi Domino,
I cannot reproduce also, and I tried really hard. Are the movies that are in the Genre folder you have, on the internal disk or other (network, usb etc)
What folder structure is used and on what level did you place your video wall link from Media Library?
Did you try to redownload the firmware, and reinstall using recovery mode? Just to be sure you don't have some corrupted install.

They are on internal HDD formatted in Mede8er. Already tried a CHKDSK, no errors.
Folder structure: \Movies\moviename\moviename.mkv etc. linked to wall at \Movies
Yes, already tried download and reloading firmware, same results.
I do wonder why I seem to have these problems which no-one can recreate? First no FR << on mkvs and now this!

Maybe it has something to do with the size of the folder.jpg? How many KBs are your folder.jpg's?
Maas are yours the same size as his?

Hi Domino,
Let's see if more simular issues will pop up in the responses to get a clue about the root cause of this. I am just wondering, maybe there is some specific things in the folder of those last movies that is causing this effect? Maybe some issue with a corrupted folder.jpg file, some specific strange files in those folders? What happens if you not skip to that latest page and back to first page with the skip page button but use the shortcut with numbers to switch? So for page 1 press 1 and for latest page press e.g. 10 if that is the latest page number. Does it also happen then?

I just checked all my folder.jpg files, they are all within the range of 10kb - 53kb

I will check this over the weekend. My folder.jpgs are same size as yours, all created by Y2M. From my side it's only a minor issue (compared to my FR << issue on mkvs). As you say, it's early days for V4 Final, so it will take some time before we see reports from other users about their experiences.

Hi All;
I'm having the some boomed out issue too, but this round it directly reboot it instead of going to initial screen.
firmware V4 inc_hd_version. about.jpg and folder.jpg created by Y2M. series store on PC(Win 7) and access on NFS.
my case is abit intermittent, if i keep scrolling back and forth between first wall to last wall....only have 2 walls(small series collection on PC, the rest on internal HDD), pick an episode and after finish watching, it will return to movie wall. Hitting "return button", it will hangs for few mins and then Mede8er reboot itself.
happen 3 times since i update the firmware yesterday. Didn't manage to test much after that as its already midnite. the scroll operation is indeed very fast on v4 final compare to beta5, but this instability seem bad and i'm also worry abt my internal HDD got power glitch when mede8er hang and reboot itself if this happen frequently. frequent improper shutdown on hardisk while spinning will most probably hurt the reading/writing mechanism, or worst case FS table corrupt.
i will try tonite if this happen if i only browse the internal HDD content.

I just install V4 No_HD and the problem persists.
- go to videowall and go into Movies - navigate using > key all the way to the very last movie in the wall - navigate > once more to go to the first page of the wall - navigate < to go back to last page in wall
I noticed there is no 'focus/border' on the movie on that page (note: I have only 1 movie on the last page, this may be significant).
Then pressing < or > again crashes Mede8er. But there is a difference with the No_HD version; in INC HD version it bombed out and took me back to the main initial menu, but I could still use the remote and navigate throught menus again. In the No HD version it just takes me to a blank screen. Blue LED is on, but MED500X does not respond to any remote commands. I have to pull power and restart. So things are worse now.
@Maas: The last movie looks fine to me, so does folder.jpg. Also using the 'jump to page' shortcut seems to work okay. So i press 11 to go to last page, then press 1 to go to first page, then 11 again. In this case there is focus/border on the last movie and no crash. It seems the problem only occurs using < and > between last and first pages.
