hi,

I've switched from popcorn hour a-100 to mede8er 300x. I've just noticed that 300x does not have a Full Screen aspect ratio. Will this be available anytime in the firmware upgrades soon? I'm currently using v1.3.

thanks,
jay

What's wrong with Zoom? Blowing up 4:3 to fill the width of 16:9 usually ends up with half of people heads dissappering off the top of the screen.

@jer1956,
If asked for autofill screen, a feature that is present at many players, but not present at Realtek based players. Even if the aspect ratio proportions are not respected, sometimes i find this more quick to acces then XY zoom function.

I hope that i'm not wrong regarding topic subjectl

yes, the thing with using the Zoom of the Mede8er is that you won't be able to see the whole screen as you've seen it originally.

I just hope soon that there will be a Full Screen/Fit To Screen aspect ratio.

So you want one of those horrid "stretch the edges" to fit algorthms which distort the image?

If you have a 16:9 TV only 16:9 will fill the screen. 4:3 has to be expanded horizontally to remove the columns, and widescreen movies have to expanded vertically to remove the black bars. Neither of these can be done without either cropping or distortion.
