Are you using DHCP setting on your Mede8er? Did you try to power off and power on your router to reset your network? Did you use configrestore option ? Or not. Prefered to not use this. What error message do you get?

Download failure dosn't happen as a result of the shoutcast changes. Your not getting onto the internet through your router.

Try updating the internet time in the med using setup. That should test that the med is connecting to the internet.

Did you already look at this:
Are you using DHCP setting on your Mede8er? Did you try to power off and power on your router to reset your network? Did you use configrestore option ? Or not. Prefered to not use this as you might copy wrong shoutcast ip from an earlier config.

Check your router to see if it has a secutiy page with selectors for Denial of Service, or Flood Detection. Some routers have very sensitive filters for these, and they over react to the large number of small files which shoutcast sends out to a small request. If you don't have such a page, you may have to test that it's a firewall problem by turning the router firewall off. Your PC should be safe behinds it's own firewall. If you've turned it off, turn it back on for the test.

Hi Febstar,
I had the same problem for quite a while, but I just solved it.
In the settings menu --> network tab --> LAN settings --> DHCP, there's an IP-adress for the DNS-server. That appeared to be incorrect in my case. I found a correct DNS-IP in my routers settings. As soon as I filled in the right DNS-server IP-adress, my Internet radio worked fine again.
Good luck!

What make/model of router was that? Routers should send out the correct IP address for the DNS server to devices using DHCP.
