UUBee, sajoh if you look at the bug list, you'll see that these issues were not resolved in this release due to their origins within the Realtek SDK.   It seems that this release resolves many issues that are under Sanji's control.

Lets hope that Realtek gets their butt into gear to get Sanji a good SDK release soon.

But I installed the new firmware and I LOVE the 3 level folder support on the video wall.  Now I can justify using it more often since I watch TV shows often on my Mede8er.  It works great, but I still need to put it through its paces.   My only problem is that there is no easy way to populate folder.jpg / about.jpg synopsises for TV Shows.  YAMJ to Mede8er doesn't do this well since it is geared to movies.

Just upgrade mine into V4B5 .. Smiley

- bug no [6] .divx and bdiso not playing from movie wall  Fixed in V4Beta5
found out that, if any movie is play before BDISO, playing BDISO will play last movie, not BDISO.

Reproduce : Start play BDISO in media library, then stop. goto videowall and play BDISO there, it works.
Play another movie (any other than BDISO), stop it, goto videowall and play BDISO - it failed - Mede8er will
play last movie instead of current BDISO.

Resume is off by the way, but if resume is on - resume confirmation dialog still bring mede8er to the last movie instead of BDISO.

Any other has this issue ?

I can confirm this problem as well. This was the first thing I checked after the upgrade.

Bug still present from 4b4, when playing DVDISO image from network, subtitles are enabled, but when you press the subtitle button it says they are off, hit enter and they are then turned off.

Why not put the image.img in the root of the archive? saves one step in the upgrade instructions.

by the way, the "normal" update procedure works fine.  Wink. I did not manage to save settings, but that could be a Betav4 bug.

==================
There is one small bug  noticed a few days ago, and still exists in beta5:

If you pause a media file where the source is a upnp (tversity ) media stream, and pause it for more then 30 seconds, and unpause it, it plays for 2 seconds. then a message is displayed:

Quote
Media is removed
Stop playback

Confirm
Bug  1: The confirm button is not properly aligned in the the box.
Bug 2: The error message does not make sense. The correct message should be that the media server gave a timeout.
Request: Retry to open the media stream, if i do that manually  i can fast forward to the place it was interrupted. If this was done automaticaally in case of server timeouts this would be great.
Request2: prevent timeout by sending some (Huh) kind of keepalive in case of a upnp timeout.  (possible?)

O yes, I love it also. But in my situation I also use Music a lot on the Mede8er, streaming from Internet and MP3 collections. The problem is I don't wat to fiddle around a lot with Sound setup and my Receiver does not support DD7.1 or DTS 7.1 so its a little problem playing movies when the DTS and DD core are not played over SPDIFF. And the value of the video waal is great, but actually, I am more busy switching between sound setups then using the video wall. So 3.0.4 is my firmware until realtec SDK is updated.

I guess this now only relates to streamed ISOs now, since ISOs played from internal HDD are fixed and no subtitles play by default.

I've got to say, 3 levels in Videowall is working very well indeed, well done Sanji !

Also, on the old DD units, the power LED turns red to blue as soon as unit is switched on, there's no longer a 5 second delay, so that's also fixed, good job Smiley

Resume works fine for me, no crashes/hangs at all. What format are your movies?
