Author Topic: No sound after every file transfer via usb  (Read 367 times)

MED500X/ F/w 3.04

I transfer files from a USB HDD to the internal HDD of my MED500X and when I try to play them or any other file or the radio on my Mede8er there is no sound until I flash the firmware again.

Panasonic TX-P42G20 plugged into a Sony STR-DG910 AV amp.
Video cable configuration - HDMI
Audio cable configuration - HDMI

A/V setting:
- Aspect Ratio - 16:9
- TV Out  - HDMI auto
- Digital Audio - HDMI Passthrough

Describe media source:
- Internal HDD - 1TB Seagate Barracuda
- USB - Toshiba 1TB 2.5" USB HDD NTFS
- Network - plugged into home network via Homeplug
- Windows 7. various files transferred (iso, vob & mkv)

Can you try to put your Mede8er video on a fixed mode, so e.g. 1080p 50hz?

And it fhat doesn't help, you might try the V4beta4 firmware.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. Do you mean put it in fixed mode when the problem arises to see if it works again? It works fine in auto mode until I transfer a file.

I have tried the V4 firmware and got no sound at all with that and so had to revert back to 3.04. I think, but I can't be sure, that the sound problem started after I tried the V4 f/w.

No, I mean put it always on a fixed setting.
Your problem sounds like some HDMI sync issue and it might be a solution then to set it on a fixed video mode.
