Hi all Mede8ers
We picked up some core issues with the new SDK and we need to hold this update until these issues are resolved. A report has been sent to Realtek and we have been led to believe that our concerns will be addressed. As we do not know how long it will take to get V1.2.3 back on track we have decided to release a interim version based on the old SDK so that the users can continue to enjoy their Mede8ers.

Firmware Update Instructions
Copy install.img and logo_pal_bmp to the root directory of a Flash Drive. Plug the flash drive into the Mede8er.
1) Go to the Setup menu and then select System and then select System Update.
2) Select Save Config
3) Select System Update again
4) The Mede8er will now start the Firmware Update procedure. During update your TV screen will go blank and
the Mede8er will re boot and then display update bars on the TV. Mede8er will inform you when the update
procedure is completed.
XXXX IF YOU DO NOT GET A PICTURE ON YOUR TV DURING THE UPDATE PROCEDURE JUST CHECK THAT THE LED ON THE MEDE8ER IS FLASHING RED-BLUE AND WAIT UNTIL THE LED STOPS FLASHING AND THE MEDE8ER RE BOOTS XXXXX
5) Once completed the Mede8er will re boot.
6) Go to the Setup menu and then select System and then select System Update.
7) Select Restore Config
8) The Mede8er will re boot and the firmware update procedure is complete.
DURING UPDATE THE LED ON THE MEDE8ER WILL FLASH BLUE/RED. PLEASE WAIT UNTIL THE MEDE8ER RE BOOTS.

Emergency Recovery Procedure
Download the latest Firmware from the Mede8er website. Unzip the file and you will find two files ie install.img
and logo_pal_bmp. Copy both these files to the root directory of a Flash Drive. Plug the flash drive into the Mede8er.
Disconnect the power jack at the rear of the Mede8er then plug it back in - Now press the on/off button and hold it pressed for 10 seconds and then release. The LED on the from fascia of the Mede8er with flash red-blue and you will get a progress bar on your TV display (some TV's will not display this) wait until the Mede8er re boots itself +- 90 sec. You Mede8er is now be updated. Re boot once and use as normal.
