Can you please post the version of your bootloader?

I'm using Beta4 with the updated bootloader linked to a Denon AVC-A10SE (none HDMI) amplifier (using optical out).

SPDIF set to transparent (multi channel)

Movie sounds play great BUT mp3 & Inet radio fail (no sound).

When I set SPDIF to two channel mp3 / inet radio play fine but then movies are missing the extra channels ...

With the older release I never had this problem, please advise.

Some checks:
Have you put install.img and install.dat in the root of your usb stick? So not in a subfolder?
Did you use recovery mode to install (and not update method from mede8er menu)?
Use the lower usb port.

For others this is working, so we must overlook something in your case...

Yes i have put the two files in the root of the usb stick. i have tried both usb ports.so what is wrong with my mede8er?
i have used the rcovery mode

I have the same Problem!!! Install hangs at 3/4 and no yellow box.

Can you post exaclty what you see on the screen when you are trying to update, please describe step by step.

And: also please tell something more about your mede8er setup:
- an internal disk inside, if yes; formatted by mede8er setup or not
- which things connected and how (TV, Amp, which connections used for this)

I too have the same problem.
I noticed the following:
Before installation:
install.img is 33.740 mb.
install.dat is 56.752 mb.
After stage 1: installing patch (which completes as expected)
Mede8er doesn't reboot but starts and hangs.
Before hang there's some usb activity.
I checked the usb stick.
install.dat is renamed to install.old and is 33.740 mb.
install.img is 56.752 mb.
Stage 2 starts and hangs on 2/3 installation.

First i see a screen with "Installing Patch"
Then mede8er reboot and it installed the Beta4 Firmware.
Then the progress bar stops at 3/4 and the mede8er hangs up.

Internal Disk is a 2 TB Hitachi HDS72202 and formatted by mede8er setup.
I have a Samsung LE40B750 over HDMI and a Yamaha RX-V 661 over Coaxial connected.LAN is wired (D-Link DIR-655)

Seems that a few have issues with the update from 17L bootloader to 26.

I found the same problem with the audio as dataflex. I'm using the coax output.
