Some comments to the new beta firmware 4.

In the Media Library the SLOW Button doesn’t show the about.jpg.

In the Videowall I can’t brows the cover art (about.jpg) with Up/Down.

In the Videowall the sort order is not alphabetic (?).

I think it will be more intuitive when the navigation jumps to the 2. row at the end of 1. row.

PS: Sorry about my bad English, I’m just started to learn English.  

Reading your feedback I have the impression you are not running on Beta4.
Please check on the info screen.....

In Video Wall it is Alphabetic, but from top to bottom (zig-zag from left to right).

In the Videowall I can’t brows the cover art (about.jpg) with Up/Down: Thats as it is by design.

In the Media Library the SLOW Button doesn’t show the about.jpg: please check the size of your about.jpg, this should work. Maybe they are very big regarding size?

I have some problems, I'v stuck with Start Installation...(rev:V4Beta2) and progres bar on 2/3 .... for about 10 min.
What to do (I had problem with wrong bootloader)?
Now I just copied images*  from  0017L_bootloader_patch.rar to USB, and start Emergency update.

Slow play button over folders does not always show the about.jpg, sometimes (and it appears consistently the same folders) is shows the folder.jpg in full screen - these were all OK in the last firmware. FYI:

2001 Space Odyssey, about.jpg (813kb), OK
28 Days Later, about.jpg (1091kb), not OK, shows folder.jpg
28 Weeks Later, about.jpg (1063kb), not OK, shows folder.jpg
300, about.jpg (1100kb), not OK, shows folder.jpg
A Beautiful Mind, about.jpg (800kb), OK
A Bug's Life, about.jpg (1276kb), not OK, shows folder.jpg
etc...

Ronin, about.jpg (1023kb), OK
Con Air, about.jpg (1024kb), OK
Dead Calm, about.jpg (1027kb), not OK, shows folder.jpg

Appears to be a 1Mb limitation to the size of the about.jpg, not great when the images are 1080p. I have 428 movies on my NAS, read from the network, as are the about.jpg images, and 115 of these do not display due to this limitation.

Otherwise looks good for the moment. Loving the new interface and features!

Carefully read the instructions.... You probably have a unit with L17 bootloader (DD board). You first need to install the L17 patch version and after that the other version. Both using recovery mode.

Please can you look at the size of those about.jpg that are not showing. How big are they? Please report this back. And also the file names of these files that don't show.

Thought about that after my first post, and have updated it above.

First of all thumbs up for all that keep mede8er and it's firmware alive!

I installed v4 beta 4 without any problems!
The first bug I found was that the info button didn't work correctly.
When pushed while watching a movie file the info screen pops up and than dissapear again a seccond press sometimes gives the second screen but most of the times nothing comes up!

Also it would be great if you could setup witch source you would like to be favorite when selecting the media main screen.
I mainly use the build in hd so I rather would like to jump directly to the hd without always have to choose wich source i want yo use.

Keep up the good work! And I think its great that you share a beta with the users to get some comment!

I had a board with L17 bootloader.
I copied files from 0017L_bootloader_patch.rar to USB, and start Emergency update.
On the first screen I had a start installation patch & patch upgrade completed & reboot!
And then after reboot I see only mede8ter logo, and nothing happend .... If I start Emergency update again with the  same USB I get stuck on with  Start Installation...(rev:V4Beta2) and progres bar on 2/3  screen!
What is wrong in my update procedure?

I have made al my cover art with Yamj to mede8er, but no about.jpg is showing in video wall.  jpg size is smaller then 500kb 1280-720 image quality 97% as advised by yamj for mede8er. What am i missing?
