Can you try to reneme to Flashforward S01E01.avi So without the point between the d and S01

My mistake... I assumed I would see a list of episodes as soon as I opened Season 1 by pressing Enter on the remote, but it then displays the about.jpg. I didnt know I have to press Enter again to see all the episodes. This works fine, sorry for taking up your time, my bad...

I''m having trouble updating the boot loader.
It went as far as Patch upgrade installed sucessfully, but did not reboot.
The mede8er would not switch off, so I unplugged it and switched it on again.
With the UBS drive still plugged in, I got Start installation (rev:V4Beta2)
The progress bar ran about 2/3 of the way and then stopped, with the mede8er power button showing both blue/red.
I then started the process all over again - same result. The first reboot did not complete - the mede8er just hung up. Did the same as above, and again the progress bar stopped at the same position.
With the USB drive removed, switching on the mede8er only gives me he mede8er logo.
Any ideas?

Maybe corrupted image or you did not place both of the files on your usb stick that are in the patch.

Suggestion:
Reformat your usb stick fully, no quick format. Use FAT32 format.
Redownload the right package and reinstall. Follow the instructions step by step as stated in the beta release notes.

If its not working, then try to re-install 3.0.4 using recovery mode.
If that also not working: then try another usb stick. It might have some hidden partition that gives trouble.

found a small 'bug' displaying thumbnails in the videowall:

When the image is called folder.JPG it doesn't display, but when it's called folder.jpg (all lower case) it does. This is not an issue in the Media Libraray, just on the videowall

I cant install the V4 Beta. The Mede8er hangs up. I have format the flash disk(not quick format) but the mede8er hangs up. So I reinstall the 3.0.4 and it works fine.

Are the files on the Server corrupt or what is the problem?

In the Video Wall on 2. page (shortcuts > 12) it is not possible to apply Genre Cover art to the Shortcut, and if I delete a shortcut it deletes a other shortcut.

PS: It overwrites a shortcut from 1. page.

Well,

A link to this feedback in the install instrucions might be wise.....

====
On the install procedure:
-The install.img & dat are in a subdirecotry in the archive. after extracting those to the root with winzip they were in the subdir in the usb disk. Easy to fix, but took me more time to find that out then expected.

============

As for time , is choosing greenland as default timezone really the place where most mede8ters are sold?  Grin maybe choose a more ovious defualt.

=====
And for a matter of taste: The "soft" highligt really is not improvement.  please choose something for the selection that has a higher contrast.

====

It still is not possible to change the root password
Code:
telnet mede8terip
login:root
#passwd
Changing password for root
Enter the new password (minimum of 5, maximum of 8 characters)
Please use a combination of upper and lower case letters and numbers.
Enter new password:
Re-enter new password:
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
#

Not different from 3.04, but i consider this a security error.

... still testing, but this is my first few moments with the new fw.

You need to use the L17 patch first if you have a unit with L17 bootloader version. Check the info screen in mede8er setup, and check the last digits of the bootloader rev.... Please read the instruction clearly howto update. You just place both files in the package on the root of your usb stick....

If the image you downloaded from mede8er ftp extracts without errors, then its not corrupted.

Well, except for a couple of things that I guess will be fixed, I'm seriously impressed.  I have the 17L , or better had, and the installation went fantastic.
