Product & firmware version: Mede8er MED500X f/w v3.0.4
Media Source: Wired Network > Windows 7

The problem is i can't connect to my 1.PC but i am able to connect to my 2.Notebook using my username,password
Workgroup : 1.PC   2.Notebook

Turned off windows firewall,router firewall,antivirus firewall still cant login
These are the screenshots of my 1.PC homegroup/sharing settings which are the same on my 2.Notebook





any ideas?

?? Which one is the screenshot from the PC that is able to connect to?
The lower one is different then the upper. File/Print sharing disabled? Then sharing a folder will not work.

found a miss translation

Met wachtwoord beveiligd delen inschakelen

 Turn off password protected sharing

tried both of them but still not working....  Huh

Did you share some folders? Of course the Mede8er doesn't support Windows HomeGroup. It only support shares via SMB. Search for the folders on your PC you want to share. Right click folder, click properties and then Share.

Also make sure the username and password are correct. Maybe the saved shortcut on the mede8er still contains the wrong password?

some folders are shared, tried different accounts also guest account..
filled in the username,password everytime ive changed something..   Cry

to login into my Notebook i did not even touch it just filled in username and password and it was a succes..

Is the computer that is not working added to WORKGROUP and not to a domain or other workgroup name?

We must overlook some setting....

I have a similar problem that I reported yesterday Although I followed and double checked all directions I can't connect to my PC via Network. Mickman states that MED doesn't support Homegroups. But why then configure it? pls eexplain waht to do with "SMB". (eg. right clicking to share doesn't work with publc folders)
