I have this problem with 2.1 and 3.04.Tried dhcp and fixed ip to no avail.Used my prime computers internal ip for dns,tried dns from my provider.
The mede8er is seen in my network,but I can't browse through it.It gives an error.Win XP.
When I go to the mede8er menu and point at NAS on,click it to switch it on again,then it works flawless.I can browse with my pc and everything.
It's just a small nag,but still,it's uncomfortable to switch the tv to the other hdmi channel so I can perform this little action so I can send files to the mede8er through my router and lan connection.
I prefer the windows method,before ftp.

@tachita:

if so, the bug on the screensaver is the culprit for not being able to access the machine thru NAS? I will try tonight and feedback if this fixes the problem.

How about defining a DOMAIN in the router and in the PC (WIN7), will this help? Right now, my homegroup is set to off but I renamed my workgroup to a different name (same to all my PC and mede8er). But, on the network connection settings, DOMAIN needs to be defined. Do you think this will help?

No that will not help I think. Domain is used to connect to domain server network.
For Home situations without Domain server, this is not the way to go.

Just read around there is enough on the NAS connection topic on the forum.
This has focus from Mede8er to make this more robust in the upcoming firmware.
Ofcourse, if you problem is related to a wrong setup issue on your network or PC (there are a lot of variables to set/check), then a new firmware will not help you to get it working.

Have you tried ftp connection as workaround to connect to the internal disk?
