I just got my Wifi mede8er dongle yesterday.
Did some tests after setup over Samba with Netmeter.
Upload to Mede8er - +-1.2 MB/sec
Download from Mede8er - +-2 MB/sec
Checked my Linksys WRT160NL and saw that is was not running on Wireless-N but Wireless-G mode.
Tried to play with some wireless settings to force it to connect to Wireless-N, but didn't succeed in that.
Any of you maybe some tips on router settings to force the wireless-n speed?
distance between router and mede8er wifi dongle is about 5 meters, signal quality is very good, so that cannot be the cause that my router is stepping down to wireless-g mode.
Now with firmware 2.0.1 and a new Netgear router got it better:http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php?topic=704.msg4130#msg4130
Noticed that switching from WPA to WPA2 give some improvement over Samba (don't use NFS so couldn't test that).
Going from WPA to WPA2 with my new Netgear router improved from 2.5-2.8 MB/s average to 3.2 MB/s copy from PC to Mede8er. (with Teracopy).
