Maximum resolution for folder.jpg ?

Hi all.

Just a quick question: what is the maximum resolution for the in-folder artwork (folder.jpg) to be displayed without resize by the system ?

I tried some "large" folder artworks with 900x800 pix on a 1080 display but unfortunately this seems to be too large, so the system resizes the image (which makes some text on the image unreadable).

1920x1080 but this depend by your screen supported resolusion and tv aspect ratio settings.

Sorry for my unclear description .

I mean the image on the right side of the screen if a folder with a folder.jpg is selected on the left.
I have created some images (cover with some lines of plot outline) to be displayed when I select a DVD folder. That works fine so far, but the images were 900x800 px and were resized to... whatever (half size ?). However, the text was unreadable.
The screen size is 1920x1080.

I just too lazy to get the right resolution by trial and error...

But why you look at folder.jpg in the preview window? Folder.jpg is designed for little preview window and about.jpg is designed for full screen preview when press Slow or A-B buttons. 
Folder.jpg is always smaller by size and quality, if are custom made then is another subject.
About.jpg is bigger in size , up to 1Mb, and quality , is suitable for full screen image with viSible text.
If don't have about.jpg the M8R will display the first picture, in alphabeticaly order.
Press Slow or A- B buttons for full screen preview and when are in this mode , you can browse your folders by image preview pressing up or down navigation buttons.
900x800 is for computer, it is not a tv standard, it will always be resized or black bars will be added.

I know that folder.jpg is designed for a little preview window. And that's what I want - a little preview window, which shows me my image (with the movie cover and some text).
But I still don't know how "little" this little preview window is

that little preview window is like little sister of full screen direct output.
it doesnt have a fixed size.

normaly, what you see in full screen mode - you'll see in the preview window.
only one problem: that little preview window dont have a raster - visible edge limit - and a less experimented user ( i refer at eye to eye aproximation  ) it will be fooled by that.

for filling the preview window, it is aplicable to full screen mode you'll have to respect the tv standards: PAL, NTSC, 720i/p, 1080i/p.
and in accordance with your screen , you said is 1080, i dare to reccomend to resize your pictures at  1280x720 resolution or 1920x1080.
perssonaly i dont find any reason to save my pictures at 1920x1080 , so i use 1280x720 for my about. jpg, you can do that for folder.jpg but you'll have to edit the script lines( or settings)  from used program.
