Hi there,
I also have a problem with WMV files, V2 played them fine but V3 does not, it says "Unsupported Video" on some and "no audio" on others. I haven't tried V3.2 which I will try later today but if you know why this is please let me know!
Regards Punta

Is there a timeline to have the sdk failures fixed? With this bunch of errors I will not upgrade, the new features and fixes are not really the golden goal...

I have question regarding "Restore configuration" option. For example, now I have installed on my Mede8er FW 3.0. Can I save configuration, use emergency procedure to install FW 3.0.2 and then after reset (unplug power) use this saved configuration. It should work between FW 3.x.x. versions, right?

It should have worked from v2x to 3x too, but it did not. So I suggest you to not using the restore function because there are no guarantees it will work even if it should Kind regards Ormbett

Used this several times, without problems between V3 to 3.0.2 Just give it a try, you can always do a reset to default or reload FW again. But I am convinced it works starting from V3 to upper version 3.0.2

how long should the upgrade process take ? been at the mede8er logo for almost 10 minutes and don't want to turn it off for fear of damaging the hardware.

I must be be very lucky I have applied 3 firmware upgrades 2.0 -> 2.1.0, 2.1.0 -> 3.0, 3.0 -> 3.02 I have followed the instructions (i even re-read them just prior to starting). Each upgrade has been successful. Why is it others have problems with theupgrade? I know is a little harder then 'clicking' an update in menu - but it is straight forward. To reduce the forum response burden on Insomniac, Maasbommel and others, perhaps we should all take a breath and re-read the instructions maybe even twice! Sneferu, though the instructions are extensive and reading will solve most of the problems stated by different users, there are some "strange" sentences in this instruction. I just updates my Mede8er for the first time and I was waiting for my mede8er to reboot and led-light to turn green or red (as stated in instruction) but that never happened. The updated was successful anyway. Apart from that is stated that you must press the power butto for about 10 seconds. It took me four times to realize this applied for the power button on the device itself and not the one on the remote control (ok, my bad ). So, maybe it is a little harsh to blame the users. The update-instructions were a little blurry as well.
