MED500X2 Firmware V1.0 update

I have a MED500X2 with Firmware V1.0. The player works fine but soms video files are played as 'fast forward'.
Is it wise to update to Firmware V3.0.5.
And... how do I do it?
If I want to update I get a message 'Wilt u updaten?' (Do you want to update) and if I choose: OK nothing happens...

Hi Hemiparo,

I updated my MED500X2 V1.0.0 directly to V 3.0.5. with succes.
You need to do the following

Your harddisc must have a label/name!!!!!

Pls use the Emergency update Procedure

Emergency Method (Resets Configuration to Default)
Format USB stick to FAT32. Unzip the firmware and copy the Install.img to the root of the USB stick. Put the USB stick in the back of the player. Disconnect the power jack at the rear of the Mede8er then plug it back in - Now press the on/off button and hold it pressed for 20 seconds and then release.

After approximately 15 seconds the LED on the Mede8er with flash blue and you will get a progress bar on your TV display (some TV's will not display this) wait until the Mede8er re boots itself +- 60 sec. Your Mede8er is now updated.
