No sound from MED1000X3D on new TV (video OK) via HDMI

Hi,

I attached my MED1000X3D to a different TV (METZ Micos 49 TY61 UHD twin) via HDMI. The picture is fine, but I get no sound at all (not even the sound when the MED starts-up).

I tried all settings combinations from the MED's audio menu and also spoke to 2 service technicians from METZ in case I missed any settings from the TV menu. I even tried 4 different HDMI cables. No luck.

When I reattached the MED to my previous TV (Panasonic TX-P50VT30E) the sound is fine.

Any ideas what the problem is and maybe how to solve it?

SOLVED!

It was an EDID-Problem.

Solution: turn on TV first and later the MED after TV is up. Then TV can send its EDID when MED looks for it.
