Mede8er no longer recognized by Windows 10
« on: November 16, 2021, 09:18:17 PM »
I can't get the Mede8er to connect to Windows 10 x64 home to copy files over to the Mede8er's HDD.

I enabled SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support. I rebooted. I plugged the Mede8er into my USB port. But the PC still doesn't see the Mede8er. The Mede8er knows it's connected to my PC - if I plug it into the PC while the Mede8er is on, it sees it's connected and asks if I want to reboot. And the Mede8er shows the big symbol on the screen when it's connected to the PC, just as always. But the PC doesn't recognize it.

What can I do?

My PC also doesn't see the Mede8er when viewing network.

Slave mode cannot work  when the player is still in player mode. You must shut down  and remove the HDMI cable.
I would expect most people  move the player to  the PC, and not the other way around.
