Largest drive for MED1000X3D ?
« on: January 29, 2020, 11:25:30 AM »
Hi
I read in a post about the MED800 that a user says that the MED1000X3D "works well with a Seagate 8TB ST8000DM004 extracted from a low cost STGY8000400 currently at 170 on amazon.de".

Any comments on the largest drive that can be used/supported in the MED1000X3D  ?
(it has the latest firmware)

I am not having a problem. I have been using two 4 TB Seagate video disks, one in each of my MED1000X3Ds. Been working like a charm for some years now.
I would just like to be ahead (for once) :-)  and exchange or test new large disks before the old ones  actually become corrupt or defective.

Thanks
Peter
