Logon Fail NAS
« on: March 29, 2019, 10:04:53 AM »
Since a few days I can no longer access my Synology NAS with my MED600X3D. I am now asked to logon what fails. My OS is Win10 X64Pro and I have all the network setting checked and are OK. So in advanced network settings: network discovery, file and printer sharing enabled, 128 security, password disabled. I have the idea that e.e.a. is caused by a Windows update and the OS (v4.02) of the MED600X3D can not deal with that. Is there anyone who has a suggestion?

Login Fail is a catch all error. Most of the time it really means the device cannot be found. And that most often means stale local DNS ....a network name is linked to the wrong lan IP.

Try power cycling everything to clear out all DNS caches.
