Simply deselect most down left checkbox "select all titles" and only select the new movies, the hit "copy to mede8er"

I managed to update my jukebox today, 5 new movies and a bunch of rechecks. It took 6 hours :-( Stupid ISP!

Thanks for that ... did that several times today ... lovely tip. Not sure why I hadn't really done it before.

Ouch, that truly is an awful ISP.

Having had an external drive fail on me recently, I've been playing with all my drives to try and optimize the setup for this household.  No data had been lost as I have backups of everything.  But given our thread 'conversations' recently, as a small test on one of my drives [346 movies] I deleted the Jukebox and ran a scan from new. It took 19 minutes flat. There were about 8 movies where I had to tweak the fanart pictures then a further 3 minutes to write the contents to the drive! 

Guess my ISP is better than I'd previously given it credit for.

My ISP was always oke, it got worse the last couple of weeks. I informed them, they are working on it. Stange thing is: speed is 50%, but that doesn't explain why YAMJ takes so long. I guess it will be better soon.

I also backup my 4tb mede8er disc to another 4 tb disc connected to my synology :-)

Speed up tip: Recheck.XML = false, only new movies will be processed

ISP is good again, download speed is back up to normal, but YAMY still take very long time looking for information on internet. Any advise would be appreciated!

Check the ipv4 data in your PC lan connection. It should be the same as Gateway....the router lan ip.
It it looks like a internet IP, then your router is not running a dns cache, and will be much slower.

Oke, did that. Disabled my router's provisioning of DNS services. Testing and reporting later.

Update: didn't help.

I never said do that. I said compare the speed of ALL dns servers, including your router. See if its similar or crap.

DNS Benchmark suggested it, so I tried it.

About the speedtest: my local 192.168.1.1 is the fastest DNS, router set to get info from my ISP.

Can anyone explaine what happens here? It take 20 minuten to update YAMJ for 1 movie. Here is a part of my logfile. Look at the times. After scanning all my movies it sits and waits 20 minutes  :-[ Zootopia is my last movie on my Mede8er drive, the last to scan, The Mule is the newest:

Update: tried scanning my backup drive connected to my Synology: same result. 3 thread running, 10 download threads, nothing happens..

In the past 2 years it got worse but I learned to live with it. It took more than 1 hour to add 1 movie...but!!!!

After 120+ days I finally solved it with my stupid head. I downloaded YAMJ_To_Mede8er_Peter_Butler_V2.0.5mod_Shizzl_yamj2.10-b1a99a3
and when setting a test folder I noticed I also need to point to the new YAMJ I want to test. Automatic it starts the old one, even when you double click the new one  :-[
This new version worked like a dream.

Edit: I moved the old folder and now YAMJ doesn't start anymore. After putting old folder back, still not starting. Very short I see it start up and then it stops without messages. Java installed again didn't help.

Edit2: after renaming the old jukebox folder it starts

Edit3: with Recheck.XML = false checking 433 movies only took 00:01:38.6  ;D ;D ;D

PROBLEM SOLVED after 2 years, wow!

New problem in Windows 10, everything works fine but when selecting 1 movie to Copy To Mede8er, it copies all 500 movie jukebox files instead of the 1 selected (like it does in Windows 7) Advise needed!
