stijn, are you making a template suited for Mede8er?
I'm playing around with ThumbGen right now but I've run into som questions/problems...

thumbgen
1. How come ThumbGen can't find the movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099959/ ?
2. I tried to change the duration time for a movie (2 CD) but the moviesheet wont update the duration, now it says 50 min but that's only the first CD. Under the "Media info" tap ThumbGen says to "manually refresh sheet after manually changing values", but I can't find out how to do that or it doesn't work.
3. How do you remove fanart from the movie sheet?
4. Where does Fanart 3 go? I can't see it anywhere...
5. The "Get random snapshot" doesn't seem to be very random after 3-4 snapshots, a majority of the snapshots are from the same part/scene of the movie. Can this be improved?

i'm only adjusting the standard template a bit, but not too much , cause i like it, its simple with not too many things on it, some are in my eyes too crowded (or how do you say that?)

some of ThumbGen templates can be edited with TVixie editor . just some of them , not all ...it depend by the utilisied tool and NetFramework version.

there you can add effects , change colours or position.
if your template isn't supported by TVixie editor ...  :( :( :(....use xml manual editor   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

but how you do that .........you should move the lower cases to lower position also to allow oyu to resize plot text......

do you  use standard template?.......then it is another story...

im tweaking the standard template that comes with thumbgen
yes im resizing all the parts..
i change the size of stuff and i look in preview inside thumbgen, if its ok, then i leave it, if its not i add more, or less so its the way i want it
easy as that, i can change everything...

update: its still not working
i have the 2 files now, one that show when i browse the maps, and one with the movie info
if i click the slow button then the correct file (movie info) is being shown now.. but when i press the enter button , it chooses at random another movie, instead of the one from the map

I tested 2 different movies, both worked perfectly. I have about.jpg and folder.jpg in both movie directorys, when i press "enter" the correct movie starts without a problem.

whats the path?
to me its

h:\movies\moviename\about.jpg

h:\movies\moviename\audio_ts\....
h:\movies\moviename\video_ts\...
or should both files be in the video_ts folder?

Both movies are in xvid format (haven't tried this with DVDr) and the file structure looks like this:

x:\movies\moviename\about.jpg
x:\movies\moviename\folder.jpg
x:\movies\moviename\moviename.avi

for video dvd's i think you should use YAMJ to M8R ...he recognise this folder structures.

maybe ThumbGen works too  .....but i never find option for that......

you could use YAMJ , see waht he does and then with ThumbGen produce your pic's and put them in the same way like YAMJ do....
