I had this line in the template.xslt:

Code: [Select]
IMDB_GetUserRating = " "

It seems to have been changed to the following, invalid statement:

Code: [Select]
IMDB_GetUserRating = IMDB Rating

That is resulting in the error. If you change it back, it will work. There is also the other msgbox statement in it still. I fixed both and attached it to this post.

Attachment is for Lupissimo only. It retrieves German certifications and assumes elements present in the specific template. I removed the message boxes etc. Can be extracted to same folder as the template.

It works perfectly now! Thanks again for prolonging the Thumbgen usage!
Edit: After checking some more I have to correct this.

Thanks for the update! The procedure you describe in the README is exactly that I always use.
I tried your new template.xlst but always get the "before".jpeg. Clicking on the Green arrow button does NOT change the value above. So there seems to be something else wrong. Did you use "my" Thumgen code or just "my" template.xml in your example?
I noticed that "your" runtime data are differnet in the about.jpeg and the filmname.xml. This is also true with me, althoug I normaly just correct the xml values manually since the about-data seem to be taken from the moviefile and not the imdb. So you probably only used a short 1 minute clip to test?
Thanks again for helping!

I don't actually have this movie; I renamed a small, random video file to 'Blue Skies.mkv' for the purpose of testing. That's the reason for runtime being short. I did use your ThumbGen installation; that was helpful rather than using my installation.

When you get to 'before' screen, the small preview of about.jpg at bottom right should show 6.6 (from IMDb, retrieved by XSLT) but the information up above should show 6 (from Themoviedb, retrieved by ThumbGen). You have to manually update the information from 6 to 6.6 before clicking the green check mark button. If you do that, do you still get:

- 6.0 on about.jpg
- only 6 stars on about.jpg

This is simple and I'm sure we can solve this.

I'm afraid we have moved on to the part of the life cycle when users must find solutions. Some have the interest and ability to do it. Most will just buy a new player. Where is the fun in that?  ;)

The problem is not with either the Mese8er or ThumbGen. IMDB, a third-party, has changed their web site. They have no contract with any of us or any obligation to us, so we can't blame them. This is not a hobby for people looking to get turn-key solutions and a toll-free customer support.

The product is mature and "we" know how to get most out of it. The only thing we can wish for is that the orinial develops of ThumbGen etc. resume supporting their excellent software (for source code level changes needed)

OK! I did not recognise that the filmname.xml was not updated, but just the about.jpeg. This is no problem I just didn't know. So thanks for your help!

At that point in time, the moviename.xml file is not created yet; it is just the amalgamation of values ThumbGen got from your preferred source and IMDB which it is then displaying in its own interface. No moviename.xml file created yet and no way for anybody to change any of that process.

My point is the ARM based players have been a revolution. Everthing, included external code, has been made redundant. Most people buy an ARM player with Kodi and expect Kodi to be kept up to date. The days of pc scraping are over.

Given the lack of activity in these parts, that certainly seems to be the case.

A few on this site. Not enough to wake up the developers of yamj and thumbgen.
