YAMJ to Mede8er converter
« on: January 16, 2010, 12:48:18 pm »
Hi guys,

I'm currently working on a little project that is an app that will take the details from a YAMJ jukebox and automatically convert the data to about.jpg's for use with the Mede8er.

It uses the specified YAMJ skin and produces jpgs that have the same content as the YAMJ html files.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has any interest in a tool like this? If so I'll tidy it up and make it available.

See the attachments for some examples of the output.

Yeah, this looks very good.
I think the layout is far better then Movie GUI Builder.
But how much work is it to create this??

Thanks for the interest. The app is coming along great.

The layout and amount of work needed all depends on YAMJ.

The way the app works is that you will use YAMJ to build a jukebox for your media library. Then you point my app at that jukebox and it reads the data and produces the required images.

To get the best out of it you'll need to know how to use YAMJ - I'm nowhere near an expert on this. I've only followed a basic tutorial myself. So if you're interested in this I suggest having a look around the web for details on YAMJ and how it's used.
