Samba over Domain
« on: February 28, 2018, 12:42:46 pm »
Hi guys

Is there any way to setup Samba over Domain?

I have windows server, and the sharing folders are setup on the server but it is on domain.

When I go to Samba setting i only see workgroup but it seems I cannot setup by domain ?

Any one know solution to be able to setup it?

Hi guys,

Did you guys find a solution ?
I stopped using my Mede8er 600 because I can't find my shared folders :(

Is the a another post for this issue ?
I tried the software that enabled the share, no luck :(  "Winshare Manager"

Kind regards

Just throwing this out there. Many of us here use NFS protocol for sharing from the server to Med because it's so much faster than Samba and there seem to be fewer connectivity issues. I'm a Mac guy but I read a lot of posts from Windows users who also prefer it. Would it be a consideration for you to try that since Samba isn't cooperating?

Hi Nikto,
I didn't find a NFS guide that actually works ... only bits and pieces, and when trying to put them together, some stepd do not exist, the soft doesn't work anymore on the current Windows 10 version, etc ... nothing up to date :(
Ergo, my question.

Kind regards,
