MED500X2 and IPv6 support

Will the Mede8er MED500X2 ever support IPv6? These babies after all are basically Linux machines.
If not, which models do (or will) support IPv6 - and whilst I'm asking - which devices run the new video compression algorithms?

All med player software developments ended some time ago. No subcontractor is supporting 1186/85 development. It's all ARM based designs now.
