Which player model do you have and how do you connect the HDD?

I fix it by put the 4tb hard disk into a pc and make it shared with the same network.

This is the only way to see the 4tb western digital green hard disk.

Anyone using this  thread should also take this into consideration:-

If others say a drive works, and it isn't for you, then the issue is likely to  be your enclosures out-dated sata to usb bridge chip.

Seagate Backup Fast

http://www.seagate.com/external-hard-drives/portable-hard-drives/performance/backup-plus-fast-hdd/

A sample of the Seagate Backup Plus 4TB was kindly supplied by Seagate for testing compatibility with Mede8er X3D Series.

Mounting time = 75 sec with drive 2/3 full

The drive has been tested and works fine and we can recommend this model for use with Mede8er X3D Series.
EDIT: 20 June 2014 - NOT WORKING IF X2 / X3D has PCIE WiFi installed. - investigating

Personally very impressed with this drive and will probably buy one for my personal use ;D

WD My Book 4TB  USB 3.0 (Model WDBFJK0040HBK-EESN), works fine with MED600X3D.

I have exactly the same but for me it doesn't work on my MED600X3D (V 3.0.7). I've tried to convert to GPT, but it didn't works again. How did you manage to make it works?

Edit: I removed my password on the HDD, and it works perfectly now. I can confirm it's compatible with MED600X3D.
