Med500x2 Can't connect to wifi
« on: May 26, 2016, 01:03:15 pm »
Hi, I own a med500x2 and recently installed wifi into my home. I have read the user manual and tips online as to how I can connect to wifi, but it still won't work. The device picks up the wifi signal, but just won't connect.

I'm really not techno savvy, so if you can assist please dumb down the steps. What I have tried so far:
- Installed the latest firmware update.
- Connect automatically (keeps saying 'test fail').
- Connect manually by inserting the IP address of the router, still won't work.

Trying a hardline connection is not an option due to the location of the router and the device.

Please help :)

I went through this exact issue, drove me mad, and in the end it was a simple procedure...which I've since forgot and am facing same issue since I installed a new router. I'm busy trying to remember what I did and if I get it right I'll send a reply asap.

Does your Mede8er 'see' the router? If I remember correctly, mine saw the router, asked me to input the password, and that's where the issue lay - I was typing in the wrong info. Once I got that done it connected 100%.
