Do you have a playstation 3 or wii or somethink like that? I don't think it is possible to play it from a pc, but am not sure.
Just looking at your footer and seeing that you don't have an internal disk, maybe that is the difference?
Edit: you are using no HDD and rev 2.0. I would try 2.1.0, because 2.0 needs swap space of internal disk as described in the release notes.

Thanks Maasbommel, you were right, I've installed firmware 2.1.0 and there's no more freezing . So now I can enjoy "uitzending gemist". Does anybody know if there are more dutch scripts for RTL or SBS? Greetings StayFunKey

This is great stuff indeed! Uitzending Gemist works fine. Does anybody know if there are more dutch scripts for RTL or SBS?
Have been searching, but not found yet... Maybe somebody did find? I checked all available scripts, and Uitzending Gemist is the only dutch channel.

Does anybody know if there is a way of making favourites? Because some plugins don't work in the netherlands and some sites are not so great!

Hi there,
Is there also a script which can stream what's being displayed on a cmputer (monitor) via de mede8er on a television?
I.E. My have has some internet programs she's whatching on her computer. If I can get what's on the screen via a medaserver (playon or whatever), via mede8er on the tv, it would be great.
Just to get the streaming video in full screen mode (on the computer) and watch it on tv.
(as a replacement for the cables between computer and tv) (her computer doesn't have the connections for tv (AV)).
I think it will be easier to log in via computer and browse on the site and watch the selected stream on the tv.
Regards,
Tom

I bought PlayOn Premium and it works perfectly with one exception. I can't get ESPN3 to work. If I click Live I get just the Return symbol. Same with Upcoming. With Replay I get to see a list of all the offered sports (28 categories in all) but when I click on one of them then I get the Return symbol again. They say that they have had identical reports from owners of the Briteview CinemaTube box. That box also uses the Realtek 1073DD chipset. It has something to do with the inability of that chipset or whatever to display long lists. The tech says that the Upcoming display alone has 391 games listed and the box just can't handle it and so it just displays the empty folders. No other boxes are having the problem. I'd like to see some comment from Mede8er on if they are aware of such a problem and whether there could be a fix for it. I actually bought PlayOn mainly for the college football season that is just starting and I'm really disappointed that I have to watch it on my computer monitor rather than my TV. The quality on the computer monitor is excellent, I can only imagine how much nicer it would look going through the MED500X to a much larger TV display. With the exception of the ESPN3 problem I recommend PlayOn to everyone that owns a Mede8er. They work well together and it is a no-brainer to setup, even the third party plugins.

Hi Cootie107, I suggest you make a post about this in the Bug section of the board, e.g. here: http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/board,32.0.htmlPlease read the sticky on top of the Bug section howto make a proper bug report. Thats the place to raise bugs to the attention of Mede8er, here it will get lost. regards, Maasbommel

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I'll put something together this weekend and I'll follow the format as dictated. I did go over to the forum for the Briteview CinemaTube box and the techs at Briteview seem to be in contact with the techs at MediaMall (the makers of PlayOn) and are trying to figure out where the problem lies. If the problem is chipset or basic Realtek firmware related then I would think the techs at Mede8er would be interested in the effort going on.

Hi guys,
I've installed the playon.tv app and it's running. Now I want to find out how it works with the Mede8er. I've looked at upnp, network etc etc, but can't find anyhting??
Looking at my network settings: wired, automatic IP and with my laptop I can access the Mede8er by Network connectios.
But the Mede8er is indicating that it can't find the DHCP?? What must I do to connect to the playon app??
Firmware 3.04! and internal drive installed!
Kind regards,
Erwin

Problem solved!!
Hadn't started the Playon.tv services so the Mede8er couldn't find the upnp mediaserver.....
Stupid mistake, but now it works.
Screen quality is not that good, but I have to (wire) connect my laptop with Playon.tv because the wireless connection is probably the problem.

I've used playon for about a month now, it had a couple of problems (watching movies on icefilms didn't work because it cut off after around an hour, and I couldn't watch 2 movies without restarting the playon service, my computer or the mede8er) but ever since the newest firmware it works perfectly
So people who tried it and failed, try again with firmware 4.0
