Please post your feedback here
Hello,
I don't see any user manual than "MED600X3D User Manual V3 Firmware". My question is how to add MAC address in WOL section in Setup>Misc>WOL (Wake on LAN). There is only MAC address of my router and I don't see any option to add the MAC address of my NAS server.
I have just upgraded my MED600X3D to FW ver. V4.0.2 - 6April2016 - Beta -X3D Series

Best regards,
Ilko Karaatanasov

When i scan a folder then my hard disk or usb dissappear from my med600. I must unplug the disk and put it back on again. Why is this happening?

Any answer on this?

A small issue was found which should have had a quick fix. They haven't been able to fix it. I have suggested they release the current version "as is" because no one has reported it on the forum.

Hi all.

There hasn't been a firmware update for the MED1000X3D since last April...
Has development stopped completely for this model ?

Thanks.
M.T.

It really seems, that firmware development has been stopped.

It may bet time to upgrade to newer player. Any recommendations?

Player must have these characteristics:
- Low power (I'm not interested in media PC);
- Can play high bandwidth MKV files, such as BD remux files;
- Can play 3D videos, especially 3D MKV BD remux files;
- Support for H.265 and UHD (including HDR) is preferred.

Has Massbommel has pointed out, it has had a lot of upgrades since it's inception. The world has moved on to Opensource source Kodi running via Opensource OS on ARM based players. Nothing can  be done to make the 1186 compete with those, and a lot of effort and money would be  wasted trying.

Does anyone want to buy my MED600X3D ?
Nice player though (one careful owner).
Perhaps time to move on. Just bought a Vorke V1.

I just upgraded to  V4.0.2 - 6April2016, I was already on a previous 4.0.2 build, I am not sure which one.

On previous version I was able to use a USB-Keyboard to enter credentials for network shares, but in this firmware I can only use the arrow keys and enter keys of the keyboard to control the media player in the same way I can with the IR-Remote.

Sanji don't employ engineers. They subcontract the work to the Chinese. No Chinese company now has engineers working on 1186 work. Chip production stopped three years ago. Everyone moved on to ARM based chips, but Mede8er never found one they liked. So right now, at every other maker, the 1186 player is now considered beyond software upgrades. There is no one to do it in China. Mede8er are trying to keep what is considered a defunct chip going.

What we have is a Sales issue. Many wanted the Old School X3D before they vanished, so production was extended "as is". Those retailers who wanted them for those customers stacked them alongside the latest ARM chipped players at the beginning of their life cycle. They shouldn't have. Customers should have been told the difference.
