I didn't see it mentioned here but I was wondering, you say we are suppose to make folders for movies, music, etc. and then put the movie folders by name under the movie folder tab, well I have all different types of movies like I'm sure you all have, can I make other folders under the main movie folder like: westerns, drama, comedy etc. and then organize my movie collection that way so that when I get 300 movies or more on my 2tb internal hard drive I don't have to scroll through all of them to find the one I want, if I want comedy I go to the comedy folder, etc., that will break up my list of 300+ to make it easier to find a video to watch.
And does the media player automatically put the videos in alpha order or are they all scrambled any which way? I'm still waiting for my player to arrive, I have the WD green 2tb internal drive here, it's just itching to get inside the media player:) Thanks for all the good work on this site, lot of great reading and help!!

Yes, you are totally right.
The way you describe is a good way to organise your media files on the internal disk.
I use the same kind of structure:
root - movie - movie genre - movie folder

And regarding the sorting, it is alpha sorted.

Check out these graphics for use in category folders as you describe.
If you place them in the folder then the Mede8er GUI will show them as previews of the folder on the right of the screen.
