I think the answer to your first question is no.

I will start investigating after work (at about 19:00, right now it's 11:15 here). Depending on available time I will post tonight or tomorrow.

Edit:
- Can I consider my setup as correct "Jukeboxes"? Is it not possible to start the wall directly (bypassing the thumbnails screen)?
- Just read in another post how to solve issue 3.

Okay, I made an Excel list of the movies adding columns for occurrences of <videos> (Youtube) and <addict> in the XML's.

Movie count: 179
Youtube count: 42
Addict count: 81
Both Youtube and Addict count: 16

With this list I went to my tv and soon found a pattern that led to the conclusions:
1. on all wall movieposters that had an Addict trailer in the XML a T icon was displayed;
2. this was the case in none of the other movies;
3. pressing the T always showed a trailer;
4. not pressing anything did not start any trailer (3 seconds?).

Examples of movies with old Youtube link but no Addict link:
Blue Velvet (1986)\Blue.Velvet.1986.25th.Anniv.Bluray.1080p.DTS-HD.x264-Grym.mkv
Dark City (1998)\Dark City 1998 Director's Cut BluRay 1080p DTS dxva-LoNeWolf.mkv
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)\The.Shawshank.Redemption_1994.1080p.BluRay.DTS.x264.D-Z0N3.mkv

Examples of movies with neither Youtube link nor Addict link (lots):
Children Of Men (2006)\Children of Men 2006.iso
Primer (2004)\Primer.2004.WEBDL.720p.Cinemania.cc.mkv

The problem is the api search for scraping and trailers are different. What  name works well for scraping (using folder name) dosn't always work well for trailers. But its interesting you found almost 40 more from the new source compared to youtube.

I'm having problems with adding trailers, It locks up at various points of the scan but doesn't ever complete, I'm then have to force a shut down at the player?

Ive also tried re adding the new firmware but its the same each time?

This is already implemented long ago.
Go to subtitle settings an choose color, background, size, position, ...

There is no such function like this. My point exactly subtitles with a black background and the image in the link. For example, replace subtitles blue.

i just installed this 4.0.2 BETA from 3.0.7 BETA firmware. quite an improvement, good job.

Positive :

1. good job on movie poster on info and goto
although, i found my 1 movie not showing info when played. other movie work great but this one movie won't show, i still figuring why.
2.  instantly when stopping more than 10 / 12 GB at the credit scene of the movie. usually take 8-10 second, after seeing a movie from beginning to end. (i haven't tried from external 4gb usb. tried it on internal hd)

negative :

1. if open jukebox +, then filter it, either year, unwatched or anything, even if you pick all movie. after that you press back, the thumbnail gone wrong. this already happen since 3.0.7

that is all i can find, good improvement, i hope for more and big update next time.

suggestion :

i know that tv series folder is the same like view file from media. but when hide movie info it should be like the jukebox look like, become 3 row list of movie, insted just remove the info, but there's still half bar, make it rediculus. please consider it.

Nothing can be done to  change the codec settings in a hardware chip.  The new generation of ARM players are powerful  enough to  work like PC's and run software codecs.  The X3D cannot morph into  such  a player due its older design. 
Besides which, the GMC issue only arise because torrenters tweak codec settings, and get away  with it on HTPC's.

Hi,
Bit of a cheeky request considering other problems people are encountering.
Is it possible to display three rows of movie Jpegs on my 600X3D instead of just two ? I can display three rows on my 800X3D.

p.s. I regularly read about unhappy owners that are not happy with their Mede8er's because it cannot do one thing or another and declaring how they are going to replace them with a Popcorn Hour or a Dune or whatever, so to even things up a bit I'd just like to say that I started with a 500X, and over the years have encouraged friends and relatives to buy Mede8er's (with the the knowledge that I would help them with any problems they may encounter).
At the last count, between us we have three 500x's, four 500X2's, three 600X3D's, one 800X3D's and one 1000X3D.
Why don't we go for other makes ? Simply because of the brilliant support given by the company. Any problems, there is always an answer on the Forums's.
Sorry for the rant, but I'm sure there are many, many happy owners out there, so keep up the good work.

Three rows is a jukebox function. Are you using jukebox mode on the 600?
