What 5 lemons?  Some users think any disk problem is the one they are having. We often get cross posting in threads because of that.  

No manufacrure is going to fly the odd lemon back to check it out. That is why the warranty exists.

No fault found RMA  is routine with many retailers, especially those who sell pc components. Many now do sell home theatre kit , such as SCAN in the UK. Its best not to buy from those kind of sellers if you feel their terms "threatening".

To be honest, its a good thing that the like of John Lewis or Argos don't stock these things. They would be inundated with returns from people who expect it to work within 5 mins, or else assume  its faulty. PC component retailers expect those buying anything from them to have a large degree of knowledge, and hence spend a long time sorting out configuration issues before assuming the product to be faulty. Their no fault found RMA procedure exists to put off the casual pc component buyer who might think its easy. Otherwise they would be inundated with returns of working kit from users who found setting up too difficult.Same goes for networked media players.

So if your only comfortable buying from the likes of John Lewis with a no quibble returns policy, then you stick to buying what they are willing to stock under such a policy. That wont include anything as complex as a networked media player.

That dosnt mean I don't believe you may have a Lemmon. I asked if you had tried RMA'ing it only to have it returned? You didnt answer. There is no point moaning about standard RMA rules for PC type retailers if you haven't yet suffered first hand from them. Most of us just tick...do  you accept the terms and conditions... box,  without reading them. Where you unaware that you where buying from a PC type retailer until you asked about returning it?

What kind of issues do you see. What size jpeg and what resolution?
Jpeg working fine here.

Its catch 22. If the problem was bigger than  a few lemons then they would be every where, including SA. So they would have easy access to problem units. Meanwhile the few with the lemons have a warranty and can return the unit to the seller. Its they who have the rules over no fault found etc.  They will apply those rules to any product they stock, not just Sanji ones.They may do so without checking if a brand has a no fault found warranty from the manufacturer.

Are you saying you have tried to return it and had it sent back as no fault found? If so, who was the seller?

if this is mentioned in the warranty certificate?
do not bother to sow that #metformin is always.
Would you just say less but more of an these issues.
You know very well these problems if you X3D equipment in use and try to use the internal hard disk..

Catch 22. It means if the problem was so wide spread it wasn't the case of a few lemons, then sanji would have no need to fly a problem box to SA because they would be piling up in their Stanton Service Centre. So far they have not had a player returned in SA because of  drives disappearing mid movie, nor lan I/o errors. Drives not appearing on boot is a different issue.

You are the only one complaining about a standard RMA procedure that pc type retailers have had for many years, well before Sanji started to make Mede8ers.

You still haven't said who the retailer is that has this term and condition of sale.  In many countries they are deemed responsible, not the manufacturer. To use the manufacturer warranty you have to by pass the retailer to report a problem. You are the first person I've come across who thinks retailers are responsible for up holding the manufacturers warranty. Posting on this forum dosnt count as reporting a problem for a warranty return.

Question... Is there ever going to be a new firmware release with new functionality for the MED600X3D / MED1000X3D / MED800X3D ?

I got my 800X3D today, and updated to 4.0.1 immediately, But to my surprise the units resets in the media library menu.  :(

When i press Menu or Setup, do my settings, and press Menu or Setup or Back, to get to the media library again, the unit resets. (Once again it only happens in the media library tab)

I have read in this thread about more people who have the same problem, that seems to be introduced since the 4.0.1 releases.

I don't want to revert back to 4.0.0 because of the much better subtitle outlines in 4.0.1, BUT......please get it fixed, and keep developing and removing bugs please.

It’s strange that there where a few 4.0.1 FW updates in 3 months, and since April the updating has stopped (Also X2 models)

What is going on.

u tried reflashed g firmware using emerency procedure. i got no problems with the unit and firmware i have 800&600x3d both on new firmware
-- med500x2 --synology ds1512+ 2x3tb + 1x4tb 1x 6tb  -o onkyo htr-380 reciever
