    Hello everybody,

    First, sorry for my very bad English...I'm French…

    I make a new post to propose you an alpha version of a small software which I am developing.
    The name of this software is YermaMediaCenter Library or more quickly YmcL.

    It is not a multimedia player as XBMC for example, but only a program to create a library of videos working with a large number of players.

    I explain: for many years, I have digitized all movies (DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) to be able to view them more simply and widely. Of course, it makes an important volume and thus I stock it on a NAS.
    Then, I watch my videos on different multimedia players (Mede8er, XBMC, Popcorn Hour,  xTreamer, , etc.) via the network. And on every multimedia player, I have to recreate the library (summary, jacket, etc.) …

    I thus began to seek softwares allowing me to centralize this creation. I quickly found Yadis. A very good product but limited to few final products. So, I was inspired by Yadis (thanks to Frédéric L' hote for the quality of his product) to create my own software.

    Then here is my contribution: an alpha version.

    Download link :

    This software allowS to create jackets, posters for your movies according to the type of multimedia player, but it is also going to create the data files as well as to fill (see creating) the possible associated databases. You can also delete or move your video files while maintaining up to date these reference tables.

    At this time, the compatible multimedia players are:
    Pour le moment, les média-center compatibles sont :
    • KODI/XBMC (Gotham version and more – local or network database),
    • PopCorn Hour (A400 type),
    • Mede8er (X10003D type),
    • DVICO TViX (6000 series),
    • xTreamer (Prodigy),
    • JRiver Media Center (v14 and more).

    The movie data come from the online database TheMovieDatabase.

    Warning, I am neither an ergonomist, nor a graphic designer and even less an expert developer.

    I make you judge of my work by hoping that it will be of use to somebody in any case, it serves me.

    Just to clarify...

    You end up  with multiple scrapes for "one" movie, all in "its" single folder?  Each player only sees and uses its scrape from that one folder?

    I once scrappe the present movies (single movie or directory) on the network ( my NAS) and I make files and fill database for all multimedia players at the same time.
    For example:
    * I fill the MyVideos90 database of KODI,
    * I create nfo and jpg files and filled the medeer.db database of Mede8er,
    * I fill nmj_database database with popcorns,
    * etc.

    all this in once time

    For an optimal functioning, it is recommended to have a directory by movie. To name the directory and the video file of the name exact of the popular film (ex: //NAS/ Big Buck Bunny/Buck Bunny.mkv).

    Really good bit of software, well done :)

    Hope you continue developing it.
    I have all my folder and filenames with the year on, like this:
    \movie1 (2013)\movie1 (2013).mpg
    \movie2 (2001)\movie2 (2001).mp4
    \movie3 (2009)\movie3 (2009).mkv

    It doesn't seem to like the year number in the filename.  Maybe I'll remove those anyway actually.
