Hi

Quick question, has the Flikr screensaver function been removed? Mine stopped working a while ago and I noticed a reference to this inn the Firmware release notes. I have a Plasma TV and the default X3D icon causes "image retention" so would really like a an image screen saver of some kind.

Thanks
Stefan

Isn't your x3d symbol moving around?

I've asked if a "dim" screen saver logo could be created to  replace the normal one, via skinning.

yeah it moves around but still leaves an "image" - I think there's only a dozen or so preset spots that the logo moves to which is the problem.. so back to my original question - there's no screensaver/wallpaper/Flikr option anymore?

It seams that my Mede8er produces the well known 43s stuttering with the current FW. This would mean that the device can't play 23.976Hz video streams natively anymore. All other frequencies are working well. I had a second device which showed the same behavior with 3.02 FW from January 2014. This would mean that the 23.976Hz Output is broken since a longer time. Can you please check if this is a FW problem and can be resolved by FW update urgently?

Thx for the new fw. Always good to see that there is still support.

What i would like to see fixed is after scanning for new series/episodes all before viewing settings are reset.
Still wrong 2 season/episode file order.  ;D

There are log in issues with the current realtek SDK when Flikr is used as a screen saver.  Until realtek  fix it....if they  fix it....it has to  be disabled.

Thanks for the firmware. I have following issue.
When editing a movie sheet and saving it mede8er returns to the last page, but doesn't show any icon anymore. It seems the connection to this nfs folder is lost so I need to go back to favorites and open the folder again. There all changes are there.

Mede8er connects to my NAS using NFS. The folder I change the movie sheet in is located in the favorites.

Best regards,
   Jörg

Please can someone test the old issue of 23,976 fps support?
The pendulum test (http://uploaded.net/file/20c1g31a) still shows microjudders at 43 sec. though the autoframerate detection + 23,976 support being activated.
Mede8er model and used firmware version: MED600X3D no Wifi Firmware 3.0.5 Beta
Internal hard disk: No
Type of network: CAT5 / Devolo DLAN/Power-LAN 200 mBit/s (with Wifi module)
Networked devices: PC Windows 7 64bit streaming to Mede8er, LaCie Cinema HD via SMB, FRITZ!Box 6360 Cable
Android device brand and model: Sony Xperia S
Android max screen resolution: 720x1280
Android version: 4.1.2

Not everyone had the issue in the first place, which is why we had to  set up  a special  team of projector users when  the clock was being fixed.  What  was the last 3.0.7 beta you had no issue with?

Hi Jer, thanks for the quick reply as usual ;)
Someone asked me to double check this issue since he thought that his AVR is the problem and I insisted not having this issue. I think it's some  time ago (perhaps stable V3.0) when I had no issues with that test. But also a downfrade to V2.0 shall not solve the problem.

I mounted the iso  and stripped out the stream  files.  It does in deed jump at around 42 seconds.   It also has no  audio.  It would appear the chip needs audio  to set the correct video  clock. I have muxed audio into  the 23.976 test.

Any video only clock  test will have the same problem.

I will double check your file. The smooth movement of pendulum is the striking point and one of the few methods to check the 23,976 support. Thanks a lot.

Animations will never look smooth.  In the real  world moving objects generate motion blurring and the brain  integrates that into  smooth motion. One issue is digitals cameras are too clinical  and have too short a sample time to generate adequate motion blurring. So instead  we now have TV's which try to add the missing blurring.   The best solution is to  generate motion  blurring in the first place, hence the arrival of 1000hz cameras.  Capturing multiple images per frame is supposed to  be as good as sampling for longer.

When one has the [eg] Movies  folders displayed in Jukebox mode, they show up in alphabetical order as expected.

But Menu, rt-click  offers only  "Sort Movies Alphabetically"  and one has to use this before repeating the procedure to get to
"Sort Movies by Latest".

Can the default menu option be changed to  "Sort Movies by Latest" ?
