Do you have to leave MED800X on to see Samba on network?
« on: September 22, 2014, 11:54:11 PM »
Just received a MED800X and all is working okay but when unit is powered down the drive disappear on network? I replaced my WDTV and didn't have to have it going all the time. IF I have to run it all the time I will have to see how to reconfigure my harmony remotes to leave power on when I change activities.

You need more discipline using a realtek player. You should only use services as needed, not run the player 24/7 on the off chance you might chose to move a file via samba.

Sad to hear that , I move files everyday and really wanted everything in one box. Thanks for the reply.
