There is a typo in the dutch translation of the options -> misc. menu for std. Subtitles. It says Standaard ondertitle, should be standaard ondertitel. E and L are swapped.

Is it possible to include popcorn time in the med8er? And to cache the files on the Nas, because it is also possible with chromecast.

Hi,

When i scrape the TV Series - Orange Is The New Black , then series description is in menu langauge but description on each episode is in english. Further if the description is long at both series and episodes, then the whole text isnt shown. I cant press "I" button (Info) for the whole description.

One last thing. Isnt it possible to get 3row view in tv series?

it might be the langauge u selected is not available on thetvdb.com so it will go english :)

site like:

www.themoviedb.com
www.thetvdb.com

rely on users to input their own langauges :)

Any idea if some more work will be done on the "screen size (adjust)" thing ?
For some reason, on my Epson TW9000 projector I cannot cleanly get a full screen picture nicely centered/filled.

There is not the option to "center" the screen, only enlarge/schrink the top & sides and in my case it is never nice.

The screen calibration of XBMC / OpenELEC for example is a good example on how it should be.

On V3.0.7 of 20 August firmware (likely also on this newer edition, as change log does not indicate this issue) the list of year when filtering a jukebox is scrabled. i.e. not in chronological order as before. Tried deleting mede8er.db file and rescanning. Same issue.

Using normal movie jukebox via nas, xml files made via Y2M. Remember jukebox filter setting set to off.

Compared to the firmware 3.0.4 (and older) of the Mede8er450x2, the latest firmware on the X3D still has the red shadowing and illegible system text issue as per example attached.

This has been mentioned several times in several threads, but you should never use that screen size setting. It is not handled correctly. The player by default puts out a perfectly centered image. I have confirmed this myself with test images. The screen size adjustment says the image is off-center when it isn't. If you adjust it to center the red square then your screen really will be off-center. Do a re-install of the latest firmware and leave that screen size setting alone and it will be centered perfectly by default.

I, and others, keep saying they need to do something with that setting but they aren't addressing it. It causes a lot of confusion for people.

Ghandar, I concor, from my own experience for video playback, not touching the screen size adjustment is the best practice for correct behaviour. However, I do notice that with viewing the moviesheets (about images in jukebox) now appears zoomed (i.e. top and bottom sections are cropped or a sort of overscan is applied) when not adjusting the screen size for my LCD full HD TV. My about images are all 1280x720. The remainder of the GUI seems to be o.k.

As it was mentioned that the screen size adjustment may be necessary for people with CRT TV's then it may be worthwhile to replace the screen size setting to a TV type selector listing LCD panel, projector and CRT (whereby screen size setting is switch to off when LCD (LED) is selected and upon CRT selection, the user only then will be able to change the screen size as needed.

Although you mention that it was discussed many times on the Mede8er forum, I ,as a very enthousiatic mede8er user, did not stumble on this remedial action until yesterday. My opinion is that it is not common knowledge as the user manual clearly explains the operation differently. The behaviour of the x3D in the screen size issue is also different to that of the previous generation players and therefore adds to the confusion.

It was clear early on that "over scan" was a must have for 3d.  So that meant the screen "size" function (its never been called screen alignment..so  those using it for that are confusing themselves) created problems for 3d movies.  So it had to  be coded differently from earlier models.

Jer1956, thanks for the explanation.

Could you confirm that the "overscan" (slight zoom) of the movie sheet (about.jpg image) happens to everyone not using the screen size setting (leaving it as is from the firmware) in jukebox view? If so, do you know why it only happens to the movie sheet mode and not (in my perception) to the jukebox thumbnail screen or the normal GUI interface? If it is related to the way pictures are displayed does it imply that when viewing pictures on the mede8er (model x3D) that overscanning (slight zoom) will be active on all of them?  :o

I dont see any overscan on about.jpg or test .ts file with the default screen size ie untouched after firmware update.
