Hi, thanks for the great job

1- can you support the HEVC codec I video which I can not play.
2- we need more support for Arabic subtitle the best media player which support Arabic subtitle is XBMC

thanks a lot for your support

The codecs of hardware players are in the silicon  design,  not downloaded and installed   So  you need a next gen 4k player with explicit support for H265/HEVC.  Even  then, any next gen realtek chip  will not support divx HEVC.  That is the only h265 encoder I see online posts about, because divx are pushing it on its users.

So those with current H264 players have to  avoid H265/HEVC downloads  and always use a non divx h264 download.

If you don't consider it too much of a pain, I tried downloading a YouTube "Official" movie trailer, without ads and copying it to the same folder as my movie using the instructions below with the same file naming convention as the .XML file and with *.trailer.* in the name (full Mede8er's instructions below) and it works flawlessly without any changes being made to the XML file. I don't use the JukeBox+ feature yet so I can;'t speak to that but it does work for my Favorites page. It doesn't matter what format you use either, MP4, MKV, whatever. The Mede8er just sees it and puts it up on the movie information page and plays it. It would however be nice to have a tool to batch this process but I don't see that coming anytime soon. It will add another 35-50 MBs to each folder, so it'll eat up a little more space on your drive but that's expected if you want your trailers stored locally. I think it's pretty cool, just a pain and a lot of time spent in my future to do that for each of my 100s of movies.  :(

"Instructions:
Copy Movie Trailers into Movie Folders
Name the Movie Trailers 'xxxxx.trailer.*'   xxxxxx = any name    * = extension
If X3D finds the local trailer it will play it from Trailer Play Icon on the info sheet (about.jpg) and if not it will play the YouTube Trailer as normal if the xml has the <Videos> node.
Instructions for JukeBox+
As above but copy the trailers into the movie folders in the 'data' folder of the JukeBox+"

Have fun,
~ Larry

Larry, if you want an automated process for trailer download use Media companion as detailed here

http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,14953.0.html

It succesfully downloaded trailers (with renaming as per mede8er recommendations) automatically for my large 1700+ collection. I noticed that it could find trailers for about 95% of my movies and uses more than one database to download from thereby more successful. It will not update the XML file to add a youtube link for those movies that you want an on-line link for, but Jer1956 recommended this http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,14895.0.html to update the XML files for the movies with incorrect or no trailer links.

Hope this gets you sorted. ;D

Passthrough sends out an encoded stream  that can only have its volume changed by the decoding amp. If your forcing pcm stereo, then turn on Volume Fixed..as that goes through the PCM mixer and the default volume is 50% unless that is set.
