I am proud and excited to announce that one of my personal favorite wishes is very close to be released in a new upcoming open beta release to be shared with you all:

We have already implemented functionality so that users can easily add the Movie Trailer Links to pre-scraped collections and this functionality will also add the links to xml's generated by external scrapers such as Y2M / Thumbgen / Yadis2Mede8er etc .

To be sure to understand, we will be able to use this function with movies scraped with Yadis for example? The icon will appear on Movie info made with external scrapers?

The movie trailer option will be in english only or it will use the language chosen in the Setup?

"such as" means the list wasn't definitive.

The trailer  link is found from the movie database using the internal scraper, but in add trailer mode it only adds the link, and changes nothing else. So  you  use the internal scraper settings to  control it.

The resolution is 720p, the limit for mobile safari streaming. The quality is set by what people have loaded onto YouTube, and registered with the movie database, and your connection rate as detected by the Youtube Smart TV app.

So there need to be a YouTube trailer link on tmdb.org for it to work. Good to know when you add info on tmdb.org.

No, your movie scraper issue has nothing todo with this new feature.
As suggested, make another new post and tell a bit more about your problem, and which movies exactly don't scrape.

Awesome, this is one thing it was definitely missing.  Found myself going to the AppleTV to watch trailers and then back to the Med to watch them.

Wondering why it's an exiting new feature though

Sorry but just not getting it.  The movie is already on my archive to watch.   One click and I can watch any preview I wish.  Why would I want to go to Youtube to watch a preview of a movie I already have archived on my media server storage?

In my case I rip my new movies to my NAS when I get them and may not watch them for some time to the point I forget what they're about.  So at most times I usually have about 20 unwatched movies.  When it's movie night my wife and I will often watch the trailers to remind ourselves what each is about and choose which we want to watch.

If it's not for you then that's fine, myself and apparently others find it a useful feature.
