works partially
« on: June 15, 2014, 06:08:39 PM »
Hi, I tried to change several themes, but my Med600 never loaded the IMAGE_COMMON_LOGO.png and IMAGE_SHUTDOWN.png.
firmware is 3.0.4 version
"Home page text" is set to "off"

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi connessuto!

Before loading a new skin, have you tried to restore default skin?

Hi Mafalda,
I did as you suggested. Now I can see the IMAGE_COMMON_LOGO.png but I can't see the shutdown screen.

Hi connessuto!

Ok. For your MED600X3D it has just been released the "V3.0.7_17June2014 BETA". Would you like to give it a try? It is possible that, installing it, you will solve your problem.
Use the emergency procedure (not the simple update).
The emergency procedure is described in the firmware download post at the bottom of the page.
To avoid having to set all the settings manually, you can perform a "config save", using a USB stick.
After installing the new firmware, you can perform a "config restore", from the USB stick.

Strange. No one reports this problem.
Do you encounter this issue also with the Mede8er default skin?
Check the Bootloader version (Info in the Setup menu), it must be KIIE.0402.0065, if it is not, you need to upgrade it, with the same procedure as the firmware.

Hi Mafalda,
I have installed the right bootloader and I upgraded the firmware using the emergency procedure.
I can see all the default screens.
I can't see the shoutdown screen with others themes.

Hi connessuto!

I can see all the default screens.
I can't see the shoutdown screen with others themes.
Some changes in 3.0.4 firmware version introduced shutdown problems which were later solved in the "V3.0.7_12June2014 BETA".
Later, the "V3.0.7_27June2014 BETA" has fixed some problems in "skin customization."
I can not tell you if your problem is still a consequence of the above.
At the moment you can try to:
- remove the "IMAGE_SHUTDOWN.png" file from the installation folder of your skin;
- restore default skin;
- install your skin without the "IMAGE_SHUTDOWN.png" file hoping that, at least, you can see the default image.

my HDMI connection in damaged and I use RCA component video connection
I have installed the right bootloader and I upgraded the firmware using the emergency procedure.
Have you still tested the HDMI output after the proper bootloader update?
But remember: during operations with HDMI cable, the devices must be really switched off: disconnected from the mains power supply and not only turned off in standby mode.
