MED450X2S need help with connecting

Hello,

I really need some help with connecting my Mede8er. First of all these are the specs:

Product & firmware version: Mede8er MED450X2S f/w v3.0.3 Downloaded the latest firmware yesterday.
Audio: none.
Audio setting: not important
Video: HDMI output >samsung 34" LCD
Video setting: 1080p 50Hz,24Hz ON,16:9
Media Source: Wired Network > tele2 modem via LAN

So this is my problem i do have the mede8er plugged in with internet from my router via LAN port. But i dont get connection. I searched the forums and everything and cannot solve the problem. There should be a wifi with this model but there isnt. I bought it in the Media markt in the Netherlands.

Then there is another problem in the interface i cannot see the: music database search, movie database search etc. How come i dont see it?

I do attached the usb 3.0 to my laptop and i put some movie files on the HDD already. So i can watch movies but i cannot get a connection.

I'm looking forward to some help

You must go to network setup and make a connection via setup. It isn't plug'n'play.

There is no internal wi-fi aerial. If its a bundle you should have a brass connector on the rear of the case, and a screw on aerial.

The scan on boot and home menu search options are gone. They where a hangover from the x1.

Most users have moved on to jukebox, and some of those thought they where jukebox related, creating confusion.

Thx for the fast reply! I have been in the setup menu And tried connecting to the internet via wired Connection. But it failed connecting all the time. I have tried static ip And auto.

Can Anyone try to explain what i do wrong ?

First check Network Info on last page of setup. You need to  make a Network Connection first before you  can try getting to  the internet.

If you don't have a modem/router...in all probability you  wont have a DNS proxy using a modem plugged into  a router. Realtek  chipped players are just plain unreliable without a DNS proxy.
