Zed85 is making the general point that bug exists only when the player dosnt work as designed. A bug dosnt exist just because you expect something different. In general media player chips are just bd player chips, and they avoid issues using front end blocking based on mime and codec profiles. There is no control once the media is sent to the codec chip.....if it chokes on the media the player crashes or hangs. Users have to learn what plays and what doesn't.
Also if the GUI has its own controls for selecting audio tracks its not a bug if its designed to ignore other ways of selecting audio tracks that a particuler user might prefer. All users are free to say they do prefer something different, but even if desirable it may not be possible due to realtek limitations in both hardware and software.
Well.. In many many bd players, multimedia players.... if you trying maybe to check it or maybe by mistake play a file and that player dont work with that file for many reasons, the player show a error message. Thats happen with all, ALL players, That its normal. The anomalous its that the player no only crash, but also lost all the configuration. If for you that its a normal behavior in a electronic equipment..., you should ask why does not happen with any other brand.
You say: "Also if the GUI has its own controls for selecting audio tracks its not a bug if its designed to ignore other ways of selecting audio tracks"
If you think that, maybe you should talk with the technical team to erase the option "Match audio with OSD" Because DONT WORK. And too talk with your partner "Mede8er1" who said about that "Match audio with OSD":
" If you set OSD Language to French (example) we try to default to the French audio track. Our engineers have implemented this new functionality"
That was in 2012, time enough to fix it, and if Didnt.. I do not need your permission to call it "Bug".
A bug dosnt exist just because you want that dosnt exist buddy.
Global Moder8or have to learn what says and what doesn´t.
