Is there a way I can print the list of main folders so I can see what movies I have on my Mede8er?

Hi Mimen!

1)  Start the Windows Command Prompt (by entering the text "cmd" in the search box);
2)  type "cd desktop" and press Enter;
3)  type dir [space] "Drive:\Folder Path\Folder Name\*." [space] > [space] FoldersList.txt and press enter
              example   DIR "F:\MY VIDEOS\MY MOVIES\*." > FoldersList.txt
4)  on your desktop, you will get a text file (FoldersList.txt) with subfolders list;
5)  now print FoldersList.txt file.

Have you tried the program listm8?
You can find it in the community section.

The windows tree command also does a nice job.
Read the  Mede8er 400X/500X Beginners Guide
or Mede8er 500X2/400X2/450X2 Beginners Guide

Also check the Couto X3D Newbies Guide first.

Please don't PM me but post on the forum.

I use a program called Total Commander. It's free.

To print a list of folders (or files)

Browse to your hard drive (location of the folders you want to print)

highlight them all, go up to the menu and click on "mark" then click on "copy selected names to clipboard" or "copy selected names with path to clipboard"

open notepad and paste in the copied names and print.

This program is also THE BEST program for moving, deleting, renaming, viewing all files of any type. Plus a thousand other things.

Way better than windows explorer, with side by side windows for copying, comparing files or folders.

Thanks guys for the help. I bought myself a personal laptop today as we can not use any non approved software on our work computers. Now that real fun starts.
