Sure you can and I am sure the developer would appreciate your input. Will add you as soon as the beta testing phase starts.

It is a known fact that Android development will take more time due to different hardware, screen sizes and other specifications. However it is nowadays the most used mobile OS, we just have to be patience and wait :-)

Android dev does not take longer as long as you feed it high quality images and just use

android:layout_width = "fill_parent"
android:layout_height = "wrap_content"

it will fill any screen size you throw at it. In the past before android 2.3 yes it was harder to dev with android hence most apps now are 2.3 or later as hardware/screensize mean very little as all the required sdk/api commands are built in to accommodate everything

I also would like to beta the app!! I use my Mede8er mostly for music and it's annoying me to turn on the tv everytime I play music.

Regards,

Rob

Brunsheer
I also use Mede8er for music and I do not turn on my TV to start playback.
I am sharing my music via DLNA server - my choice is Serviio.
On my phone I use Bubble UPNP to "push" the playback to my Mede8er

Regardless, I would also appreciate the android app.

Android App is in development and is taking longer than we had thought. Most functionality is operational and it's running stable. Attention is now on GUI and all the multiple views that need to be taken care. I have no idea of timing but expect +- 4 -6 weeks.

Sounds great. I have just a projector and I'd love to use my 600X3D for music without powering the beamer.

One Andriod developer was at a very advanced stage when the announcement was made. For whatever reason he just gave up and its a pity as his App had some real potential. Good news is that another developer is also at an advanced stage and we are receiving Beta installs daily. I cannot commit but expect it could be ready for public release in 4 - 6 weeks.

Any new about it? Is it still in development ?

Edit: oups, I didn't see your last answer above.  ;)

If possible, I'd like to jump on the bandwagon of the people signing up for beta-testing...
My beloved 1000X3D would love some joy with an Android app  ;)

Can I be part of the beta testing?
I have an AV Receiver with 2 HDMI Out, and sometimes I need to control the MEDE8ER from the other room!

Thanks.

Any news on the Android side?

At the end of September the projected date for a release was "4-6 weeks" off... well, a bit more has passed with no info at all.
I realize it's not an easy task and the guys working on this will have a gazillion more pressing matters, but could the developers of the app give us at least some info on the status of the project?
