Fast Forward does not work properly
« on: October 18, 2009, 08:18:05 PM »
Hi There,

The Fast Forward functionality does not work as it should (as we used to in real DVD or PVR). I get the feeling that the movie in Fast Forward X1.5 or X2 is sometimes even slower than the normal X1 speed. While in speed of X4 or higher results are unpredictable sometimes stays on same picture frame then suddenly jumps or leaps forward, difficult to control as it is not smooth. I have mainly AVI movies but problem is regardless of file type or format.

Setup:
Product / firmware : Mede8er MED500X f/w v1.2.1
Internal HDD :          Segate 1.5TB model ST31500341AS
Audio / Video:           Video cable to Sony TV (RGB) and Stereo RCA Cables

Thanks
MH

The FF 1.5X and 2X are definitely faster than 1X - you can pick that up by hearing the audio dialogue.

FF/FR are very smooth on AVI files so I dont understand whats happening on your unit.  Are the files on the local HDD or are you streaming over a network?
