Hi,
Just got my mede8er this week. movies play like the bomb.com. It's freaking awesome!! I copied all my music to the player but some of the songs' media info (ID3 Tag) that is displayed to the right of the screen is garbeled. And if i try to fast forward a song it stops and gives me a 'file corrupt' message. This sometimes happens without trying to fast forward as well. All of my music has been ripped from cd's using Windows Media player, At 192kbs, in MP3 format. Is there a reason for this? Is it perhaps the ID3 Tag information? If so what program can I use to fix it?

Using 2TB Internal Harddive with Firmware v1.22

Many Thanks

Solved the issue, just thought i would post it. As per my suspecions, it's the ID3 Tag. It seems to have a problem with one of the versions. Easy way to fix is to download mp3tag v2.44 from http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ . Scan music folder. Go into write options. Select ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1. Click 'OK'. Select all files (CTL + A). Right click on any file and click 'write tag' . Hope this helps anyone who has had a similar problem. Seemed to work perfectly for me!

Hi Sean,

I'm glad you came right - it seems as though the ID3 tag corrupted the file playback.
I have provided some links to a few other MP3 taggers in the Software sub-forum.
I'll add your software recommendation there too.

Hi Sean,

I have moved your question and responded to it here where the subject matter is more appropriate.
