noob question: change genre icons

Sorry again, guys, Google isn't my friends and the forum search too. ;(
I'd like to change the default genre icons on my Med but I've no idea about how to do it.
Should they be added to the theme skin folder? Can it be done directly on Med? Is it possible to increase the number of genres (i.e. adding more to the existing ones)? How?

User manual turned to be useless about almost everything so I'm keeping asking for your help.

i have some info about changing the genre icons..

u can download them from here:

Step 1:  Create own icons of  Download some icons.
Step 2: Get an usb disk and plug it in your computer.
Step 3: Make a folder named:  "My own genre icons" on the usb drive
Step 4. Navigate to the folder u just made on the disk
Step 5. Creat a folder called "Genre" in that folder.
Step 6. Coppy the genre images in to that folder.
Step 7: Savely remove hardware and eject usb drive

Step 8: Plug the disk into your mede8er and power it on.
Step 9: Goto File Manager. Goto USB Disk and navigate to the folder:  "My own genre icons" folder.
Step 10: Press menu ---> Load Skin

And you will be able to select the images from the genre menu

Hi there, I followed  the process you mentioned and now i can't see any of the genre icons.
Even the original one are disappeared.
Now I have a blank screen , when i go to Favorite  ==> Menu==> Genre screen

I'm currently on 1000X3D on V3

Please suggest

No, the problem is often not realising there must be a parent  folder which is skinned.

I changed the folder name from "Genre" to "genre" and it worked..

Does it only work with an attached USB stick? After selecting the skin and rebooting without stick it returned to stock. Couldn't get it to work on my NFS either, after reboot stock again.
